Reproduction of a late 16th to early 17th century Italian walnut frame - Bartolomeo Manfredi

Made from solid walnut with moulded rails.  The reproduction frame has been lightly stained and polished to match the colour of the antique frame.  Sections of the moulded rails were water gilded, toned and distressed while the hand drawn arabesques to the corners and centres were finished with gold leaf and aged.  The entire frame underwent a lengthy process to create the correct patina sympathetic to that period.
